ABOUT

Alyssa Pepe-Johnson, LCSW

Please let me introduce myself to you as Alyssa Pepe-Johnson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I take pride in being able to offer psychotherapy to adults and teenagers in the Western New York area, as my office is located in Kenmore, NY.

My approach is to offer you, the client, a non-judgmental space to share your story and experiences to gain insight and understanding into your mental health symptoms. During sessions, we will work towards your goals to improve how you feel and manage your day-to-day life.

I utilize techniques derived from many therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy while incorporating mindfulness techniques and an emphasis on self-compassion.

Over the course of a decade of field work, I have gained experience working with teenagers, college-aged adults, and adults on many different issues and topics including Anxiety and Depression Disorders, Trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,  Substance Use Disorders, Stress Management, and Grief and Loss, including both human and pet death.  It is important to remember that therapy will be based around your goals to ensure your therapeutic needs are met and may include one or more, or even additional concerns that are not listed above.

I encourage you to reach out to me by phone at 716-857-1373 or email alyssa@alyssapepelcsw.com to set up a brief initial consultation at no cost to you.  During this phone call we can discuss your concerns, goals for therapy, and review any questions you may have at this time. If the fit seems right, we can schedule an individual assessment appointment based on availability.

“It is a beautiful experience being with ourselves at a level of complete acceptance. When that begins to happen, when you give up resistance and needing to be perfect, a peace will come over you as you have never known.

— Ruth Fishel
